David Hockney (whose work I love) typically paints these intense summer blue pools. I felt the DH tag would shortcut the description of such a summer pool.

ReplyDeleteWhen I say i dont like DH i mean his work aesthetically (his flat aesthetic). Its his tecnique of course thats why he is so evaluated but since I am very involved for many years in painting in one way or another, I have developed strong like and dislikes. BUt they are about the aesthetics not the men themselves. Ok sometimes I dont agree with the message the work of artist can emminate, like in DH case, Miami/Florida lazying about rich artsy fellows taking a swim in their private gay club swimming pool. (was that nasty enough? I aimed for it!) - Anna, alway fun.
